1st Haircut

Here are before, during, and after shots of Will's first haircut. He was really good about it, as long as we kept the food coming (our main method of distraction). The bottom picture is the before- it's hard to tell because his hair is so light and fine, but it was getting pretty wild. Now he's mission-ready!

I turn away for 1 minute...

...and Will has his hands on one of his favorite toys- the vacuume. It's big, it has wheels, it has lights, what's not to love? It's a sight that would make Great-Grandpa Buroker (a veteran vacuume-repairman) proud.

Here are just some cute shots of William's recent rocking-elephant adventure.

Bosch Buddies

William discovered the lid to the Bosch makes a fun toy. He likes spinning them on the kitchen floor. He's in a very curious phase and likes to find new ways to play with his toys (or find new toys!). (Will's friend Andrew also loves to play with his Mommy's Bosch).

I can't believe how fast time flies! Sorry to all you faithful Poulsen blog visitors there hasn't been much new on the blog for a while. What's new? Well, Will broke his 7th tooth this weekend and we splurged on Jack Johnson concert tickets (Aug. 18!). This will be my first real concert EVER! Yes, I have been a sheltered girl.
P.S. For those of you who have never heard of Jack Johnson (JENNY & SERGE!), go to www.jackjohnsonmusic.com. You can watch one of his videos and listen to his music.

Aloha!

It's finally warm enough for
short sleeves! This shirt was
Will's Christmas present
from Auntie Tanza in Hawaii.

Our pad

For any of you that haven't been to our place, this is our little house. Our street is only 3 blocks long (Ogden blocks are long and skinny, we're on the skinny end) so we don't get much traffic, which is nice. There is about 3-4 feet of snow in this picture. The sad, skinny little tree in the front yard is the ONLY thing growing on our lot that is not grass (or weeds). For me, you know, this is a tragic thing that needs to be fixed ASAP. But, alas, as we are renting, I don't have much control over the situation. I am, however, working on a plan with our landlords to get some plants in the ground and hopefully a garden in the backyard this spring. Oh, and in case you are thinking, "hmmm, that house doesn't look very big,"- it's not! But we are happy here and have made a comfortable home.
